Choosing a runner
Runners are long, narrow rugs for hallways, landings, kitchens and beside beds. As a guideline, choose a runner 10 to 15 cm narrower than the space on each side, and long enough to cover the main walking line without running under doors.
Choosing boho and Berber-style rugs
Boho and Berber-style rugs take inspiration from Moroccan and North African weaving, with diamond lattices, kilim motifs, fringes and tassels. They bring a relaxed, layered feel to living rooms and bedrooms and pair well with natural wood, rattan and plants.
Care and cleaning
Vacuum regularly, ideally with a suction-only head or with the beater bar raised for deeper piles, and blot spills straight away from the outside in rather than rubbing. Always follow the care label on the product page, and test any cleaner on a hidden corner first. It is less springy than wool and can crush under heavy furniture.

What are berber runners made from?
By material, this selection includes Polypropylene (5) and Polyester (4). Polypropylene (also called olefin) is a hard-wearing synthetic fibre that is solution-dyed, so the colour runs right through the fibre and resists fading and bleaching.
