Cookie policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on rugkingdom.co.uk, what they do and how you can control them.
Who we are. Rug Kingdom is a trading name of Flair Furniture Ltd, registered in England & Wales, company number 07536751. Registered office: Old Delivery Office, Oldfield Lane, Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire WF16 0JD. Our Data Protection Officer is Ashley Hainsworth, who you can reach through our contact page.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. "Local storage" and "session storage" work in a similar way. We use them to run the shop and, only if you agree, to measure how the site and our adverts perform.
Your choices
When you first visit, we ask whether you accept analytics and marketing cookies. "Reject all" is just as easy as "Accept all", and "Manage preferences" lets you choose each category. Until you choose, and whenever you reject, Google tags run in a restricted, cookieless mode (Google Consent Mode) and no analytics or advertising cookies are stored. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time: open cookie settings, or use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. When you withdraw consent we delete the Google cookies listed below.
Necessary cookies (always on)
These make the shop work (your bag, checkout, security and remembering your cookie choice). They do not need consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.
Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
Google Analytics 4 helps us understand how many people visit, which pages and rugs are popular and where the shop can be improved. Google acts as our processor and the data is not used to identify you.
Marketing cookies (only with your consent)
Google Ads cookies tell us which of our adverts led to a visit or an order and allow Rug Kingdom adverts to be shown to you on other sites. When you place an order and have accepted marketing cookies, we send Google a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address so it can match the order to an advert ("enhanced conversions"). We never send your email address itself.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block necessary cookies, your bag and checkout will not work. Help pages: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge.
More information
See our privacy policy for how we use personal information and your rights. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
